The Bright Spot

Our Saladmaster consultants, Rene and Jane, invited us to a cooking demo last Saturday.   AJ and I almost didn’t make it because I suddenly have to rush something for work.  We got there halfway through the session, but managed to see some more dishes at work.

I saw the versatility of Saladmaster cookware when they cooked 3 dishes simultaneously by stacking the cookware on top of each other.   Stacking is one of the most efficient cooking methods ever – it allows you to prepare multiple meals on a single burner and save on your electricity bill.

The stacking method:  At the bottom saucepan was the Roast Chicken with Lemon Grass,  the middle saucepan holds the Steamed Shrimps and at the topmost saucepan is where they cooked steamed sweet corn.

I’ve been told your cookware is NOT made in the USA.  With all the Asian knock offs on the market, what proof do you have on where your metal comes from and the actual name & location of your manufacture?  Without proper documentation, I assume that you just another knock off.

Gluten Free Chocolate Mousse

We lived in Rochester Hills almost 2 years ago and one of our favorite places to and taste / shop. On our road trip we couldn’t wait to visit.

There was a gluten free dessert that caught my eye Chocolate Mousse.

I was awesomely creamy and we shared it so as not to overly indulge in the sugar !

Healthy Eating on Road Trip

We are now driving through Mississippi after leaving Memphis TN. We used our DEX app to find a Chipotle Mexican Grill . We enjoy the huge salad made of fresh veggies and grilled bell pepper and onion. Guacamole , sour cream and fresh made salsa are available !
The price is great and there are locations in most major cities.

Lemons are…

This image reveals a stack of bright-yellow lemons, rich in vitamin C, and a terrific additive to a wide variety of foods such as fish and salads.

This fruit also has a wide range of uses in many household activities.

When selecting lemons they should be firm and have a bright yellow color. Avoid soft, shriveled lemons with spots.

The best lemons will be fine textured and heavy for their size. Thin skinned fruit tends to have more juice, while fruit that has a greenish cast is likely to be more acidic.

Lemonade Recipe:

One medium lemon has about 3 tablespoons of juice and 3 tablespoons of grated peel.

As the weather heats up, lemonade is so easy and satisfying to make and drink!

Sweeten with Stevia, Agave, grade B maple syrup or coconut sugar.
